Local hate group Protect Nebraska Children is rallying their members to attend the State Board of Education meeting next Friday March 8 at 9:00 am to support SBOE member Kirk Penner’s “policy proposal” to remove nonexistent porn from school libraries, which you can read here, and which we have previously discussed here. As we all know, there is no porn in school libraries, but if you are someone who has never read a book, hates gay people, and finds vegetables sexy, you’re going to scream at the State Board of Ed anyway.
If at all possible, please attend the State Board of Ed meeting next Friday to stand up to these book banners and to support the normal people on the State Board of Ed who are not in favor of banning books. It is very important to have friendly faces there in person when the normal members of the Board are facing the vitriol and unhinged conspiracy theories of people who don’t even have kids in public schools. Hell, you might even get to hear middle aged women with vegetables on their shirts talking about blowjobs.
